Temporary loan

As a student you sometimes get into financial problems. You can apply for a temporary loan at Kårservice (the student union).

Requirements

To apply for a temporary loan you are required to be a member of one of the student unions and besides that, be registered in a course/programme. If you fulfil these requirements you can apply for temporary loans of up to 5.000 SEK. Please notice that you also need one guarantor who stands surety for your loan. The guarantor has to be a Swedish citizen.

To get approved for a temporary loan you can neither have another temporary loan, nor can you be a guarantor for another student's temporary loan.

How do I apply?

You have to hand in your loan application personally at one of Kårservice's offices. Do not forget to bring proper ID card/papers. Your guarantor also needs to stop by one of the Student Union receptions and sign the application. If the loan is granted, it usually takes 3-5 days before the money is transferred to your bank account. The temporary loan can NOT be handed out in cash or by check.
