Student Economy

Higher education in Sweden is more or less free of charge for student within EU/EEA (and Switzerland) member nations are exempt from paying tuition fees. The only compulsory fee is for the Student Association, approximately 300 SEK per semester. Still it can be hard to manage to make the money last for rent, food, books, recreational activities etc. And as Linköping University does not offer any scholarships or support for living expenses and travelling costs you will be dependent on personal funds or financial support from your home country to cover costs of living and travelling.

Study Support

The Swedish National Board of Student Aid (CSN) is a government authority that is responsible for the Swedish study support system providing loans and grants for further education. Study Support is the collective name for the different types of loans and grants which can be applied for at CSN.
