Student unions
There is a student union for each faculty at the university: LinTek for students at the Institute of Technology, StuFF for students at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and in Educational Sciences, and Consensus for students at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Student union representatives sit on all university boards and committees.
Student service offices
There are kårexpeditioner (student service offices) at three different locations: one on the ground floor of Kårallen, Valla Campus, one in Kåkenhus at the Norrköping Campus , and one small branch in the Örat Kårhuset at Hälsouniversitetet (Health Science University).
The student service offices will help you with student union receipts, information about temporary loans, international student legitimation, questions concerning the student catalogue and the student card. The staff will also answer all other questions you might have.
More services
Accomodation representatives can help you if you are looking for accommodation (mostly subletting contracts or boarding rooms). They can also inform you about your rights and obligations concerning your accommodation, and they also attend when Kårservice negotiates the rent with the student accommodation companies Stångåstaden and Studentbo.
Study allowance representatives (page in Swedish) assist in financial matters. Need information or help with your application for a scholarship (page in Swedish)? The representatives can help you with this matter, but also answer your questions about study allowances or help you in your dealings with CSN.
The representatives can be found in Kårallen in Linköping and in Norrköping, the best way to contact them is through the student service office. Both accommodation representatives and study allowance representatives are bound by professional secrecy!
If you want to start a students association that is approved by the student unions, the best way is to contact Kårservice. We can also help you with a web domain and an e-mail address for your approved association. Already approved associations are, of course, welcome also.
