How to get a LiU-card?

To obtain a LiU-card is very easy: come to a LiU-card station where we will take your picture and print the card immediately. The card is gratis. This is what you need to do:

  1. You must be registered on a course or program at Linköpings University, at least one day before you can get a LiU-card. You can register yourself in the Student Portal.
  2. Fill out the agreement, and bring it to one of our LiU-card stations. Agreement forms are also available at the LiU-card stations.
  3. Foreigners without a Swedish civil registration number ("personnummer") must identify themselves by showing a valid passport. Citizens from countries within the Schengen Area of the European Union may also identify themselves with a national ID-card or driving licence.
