Curious about student life? This week Linköping University launched its Snapchat account. It’ll be managed mainly by the university’s students, so you’ll get to see their view of uni life.
Linköping University offers good education, plenty of social activities and an impressive environmental approach. That’s according to the latest International Student Barometer, an annual global survey of international students.
Jonathan Jogenfors and Niklas Johansson wanted to offer something different, so they designed the practical exercises for a course in computer security as a game, a competition in which points were awarded at different levels. Did the students think it was fun? Well – what do you think?
A young girl’s cautious smile, and parents who can’t take their eyes off her recently operated-on face. A 45-minute procedure is life-changing for a child with a cleft lip and palate, as LiU’s Emilie Engblom has seen while volunteering for Operation Smile in Nicaragua.
The Swedish government has announced the observation of a minute’s silence throughout the country to honour the victims of the tragic events in Stockholm last Friday afternoon. Linköping University will honour the victims with a minute’s silence at “Blå havet”, Campus Valla. People are asked to gather at 11.55 am.
The 2017 student questionnaire is well under way. Between now and 20 April, students at LiU have the opportunity to make known their views about the study environment, their courses, equal opportunities, and student democracy.
Being able to see things from another person’s perspective, being able to communicate and collaborate smoothly with colleagues who have other skills – these are some of the “soft skills” needed in all professions. At Linköping University we have several examples of how students prepare for their coming professional roles.
A new feature is now available in the LiU-app that makes it easy for you to check your study results.
A fence will be erected around the Origo Building at the beginning of April in preparation for its dismantling and the construction of Studenthus Valla. After 20 March, it will no longer be possible to park behind the Origo Building.
Campus Norrköping will be 20 years old in 2017, and we’re celebrating this by opening our doors. Keep 18 March free and let all of your friends and acquaintances know!
Take a guided tour of the new website, liu.se. A two-minute film will show you all you need to know about navigation and search functions on the new external LiU website.
