Can I change to another room?
We can only let you change room if there are applicable circumstances. For example, mold, pipe issues and so forth. Arguments such as issues with corridor mates, unclean common areas or unclean personal room are will not be acceptable arguments for letting you move to another room. If the room is not tidy when you arrive, it is very important to report it by contacting Studentbostäder directly. Do not un-pack any belongings until the cleaning company have completed their cleaning.
Can I cancel my contract?
When you have signed the contract for your room, it is still possible to cancel it but a three months notice period will then be applicable. In addition, accommodation can only be cancelled from the 1st day of every month. If you arrive on the 2nd day of the month, the cancellation will be noted from the 1st of the following month. For example, if you cancel the accommodation on 1 February, the contract will expire on 1 May. If you cancel the accommodation on 3 February, it will be noted from 1 March, and not expire until 1 June.
Can I extend my contract?
Extending your contract is only possible if another student has not already been allocated the room. To discuss a possible extension, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Do I need to resign/cancel my contract before moving out?
When signing your contract you agreed to an end date clearly stated in it, thus you do not need to resign the contract before moving out.
