Travelling by bus
In both Linköping and Norrköping, buses are a convenient, accessible, affordable and environmentally friendly way of travel. Listed below is some of the more common lines in both cities in order to get to campus, but please feel free to discover other bus-lines in your own time as many are not listed. Useful bus lines in Linköping
12, 20 University (Get off/on Mäster Mattias väg)– Train station (Resecentrum)
2 Resecentrum - city - Campus US - Lambohov
4 Resecentrum- city - Campus US - Police - Campus Valla (get off/on Nobeltorget)-Lambohov
3 Ryd - City centre – Train Station (Resecentrum)
10 Train Station (Resecentrum) – Tornby/IKEA
26 Ryd – IKEA
There is no direct bus between Ryd and Campus Valla. Most students choose to walk or ride a bicycle.
If you want to go from Ryd to Campus Valla by bus, take bus number 3 from Ryd towards Resecentrum, get off at Gamla Linköping, cross over to the other side of the road, and take bus 12 to the university.

115 Herstaberg-Ingelsta-Resecentrum-Norr Tull-Söder Tull-Vrinnevisjukhuset.
Get off at Skvallertorget if you’re going to Campus Norrkoping.
Ticket and payment
There are several ways to buy a ticket for your trip with Östgötatrafiken. For single and 1-day tickets you can use östgötatrafiken's app.
You can also buy a travel card at their travel center or at any of their sales agents, for example Pressbyrån. If you intend to travel often the travel card is the cheapest option. Please note you are not able to purchase a ticket on board the local buses, all tickets must have been purchased beforehand.
Don’t forget that the Campus bus is free with a LiU-card, but only during the semester. The bus runs between Campus US (Linköping), Campus Valla (Linköping) and Campus Norrköping. For more information and time table click here.
