Distance mode activities
During this unusual situation, when almost all social activities are cancelled, International Office offers some activities suitable to distance mode. We hope that you will find them interesting and that you want to join.
Zoom Café every Wednesday 11.00-12.00 - finished
We're offering an informal meeting point over Zoom. We digitally meet over a cup of coffee or tea and every week we focus on different themes or topics. We always end the session with a nice conversation about everyday life.

Wed 22 April: Student Health Care Center will inform about the service they offer for students at LiU, even in times of distance. Different kind of activities and support you can get from them in times when study gets difficult.
Wed 29 April: LinkedIn - tips and tricks. Do you have a LinkedIn account but not sure how to use it? You will get 5 tips on how to use LinkedIn in different ways so you can get more out of your account.
Wed 6 May: Are you curious about Mindfulness? You will get an introduction to Mindfulness from Marie who works at Student Health Care Center. She will guide you through a mindful meditation and inform you of what mindfulness is and why mindfulness can help you in your daily life.
Wed 13 May: Want to learn more about Sweden and the Swedes? You will get the opportunity for a deeper insight into Swedish traditions and to understand the Swedes a little bit better.
Wed 20 May: At this Zoom café you have the opportunity to explore the magnificent Omberg nature reserve virtually, with a guided tour from Linda Staaf from Woods and water. Welcome!

Wed 3 June: Low mood or depression? We will talk about how low mood and depression affects us and how we can deal with it. Marie Pettersson at the Student Health Care Center will present her tips during this Zoom seminar.
Join our book club!
Few things are cosier than curling up with a book and a cup of tea, but do you find that after finishing a book you often miss having someone to talk to about it? The International Office is inviting you to take part in our book club.
The next digital book club is held on 16 September at 16:30. The book in focus is Flaubert's Parrot by Julian Barnes.
