New mobile application for LiU-students
For a long time students have requested a mobile application that integrates student life at LiU. In this first version students can sign up for exams and in time the app will include everything related to studies and student life at campus.
Students at LiU have frequently requested the possibility to sign up for exams from their smartphones. Some students went so far as to develop their own application, LiUpedia, but that app is no longer available.
Now the IT department at LiU has together with a group of students discussed requirements and prioritized features of the Liuapp.
“We have received help of around twenty students who have tested the application in December. They gave us a lot of interesting and constructive feedback and we are grateful for this. To release an app that only allows students to sign up for exams could seem a bit limited, but we know it is valuable for many students. It also gives us the opportunity to test our technical choices,” says Thibault Durand, mobile developer.
The Liuapp is now available at Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The app requires an Android phone (with android 4.1 or later) or an iPhone (with iOS 8.1 or later).
