After being closed for several months, the restaurants on Campus Valla are gradually starting to reopen. They have adapted their premises and menus to the current situation.

On Campus Valla, Falafelhuset and Pressbyrån have remained open throughout the spring and most of the summer.

Restaurang Kårallen will open on 17 August, 11 am-2 pm, as will Amigo, 8 am-5 pm. Moccado and EAT Street Food in the C Building will also open on 17 Aug.

“We’ll adapt the Kårallen premises to the corona situation with fewer seats, and we’ll be careful to make sure that the cafés don’t get crowded”, says Klara Milton, restaurant manager at Eurest. “We take it for granted that our guests will also help us in this.”

Fresh Market by Östgöta Kök in Studenthuset will reopen on 24 Aug. with a limited menu.

“We won’t be offering the vegetarian buffet, but will have delicious packed lunches that can be heated, and some cold food”, says Ulrika Fransson of Östgöta Kök. “We will also have fika and drinks in the cabinets.”

Zodiaken in the Zenit Building will also open on 17 Aug. The opening hours will initially be 11.30 am-2 pm, but the restaurant hopes to be able to increase these.

“We have been forced to change the menu somewhat due to the current circumstances”, says Katja Welin, unit manager at Högskolerestauranger. “We will not be able to serve sushi, at least not to begin with.”

Zodiaken will serve Asian-style woks and noodles, and some cold food such as salads, wraps and baguettes. A daily special of everyday Swedish fare will be served, starting on 24 August.

“We have removed tables from the premises to increase the distance between guests”, says Katja Welin. “We have also set up signs and placed markers on the floor, and we will try to have separate doors for entrance and exit. Hand disinfectant will be available for the guests.”

Café Dalluchi, Universitetsklubben, Kaffebaren Ellen and Java all remain closed at present.

Deli Marché on the University Hospital Campus will also open on 17 Aug.
