Get vaccinated on campus!
It is now possible to get vaccinated against Covid-19 on campus. Temporary vaccination centres will be set up on Campus Valla and Campus Norrköping on two Tuesdays in September, 14 and 21.
We hope that the restrictions imposed during the coronavirus pandemic are coming to an end, but the percentage of the population vaccinated against Covid-19 remains relatively low among certain age groups. The student unions at LiU have therefore campaigned for temporary vaccination centres to be opened on campus such that any students who have not been vaccinated can obtain protection against Covid-19, and in this way reduce the risk of continued spread of infection. This will now become a reality. Personnel from Region Östergötland will be available to vaccinate anyone who drops in, Tuesday 14 September and Tuesday 21 September, 3.00-6.00 pm (drop-in). On Campus Valla the centre will be set up in the Zenit Building, and on Campus Norrköping it will be in Kåkenhus, in Färgeriet’s premises, entrance from Skvallertorget.
These centres will administer the Pfizer vaccine, which means that anyone who has previously been vaccinated with a vaccine from another manufacturer must contact one of the normal vaccination centres run by Region Östergötland. Anyone who attends to be vaccinated must have proof of identity. The temporary centres can administer either the first or second injection, and those who attend for their second injection must bring with them the vaccination card they received at the first injection. The same conditions apply to non-Swedish citizens. Anyone who has not received an F-number from Försäkringskassan will be given one at the vaccination centre.
“It’s great that we have been able to solve this on campus, and we hope that large numbers of students and co-workers at LiU will take this opportunity to get vaccinated”, says Marina Geijer from the LiU central crisis management team.
