Crisis situations of different types and extent sometimes arise. It can be an accident, a sudden death or death after illness. It is Student Health's responsibility to offer support to you as a student if you should be affected by a crisis situation or serious event such as a death or an accident that affects a group of students.
In collaboration with the University Chaplaincy, the Student Health offers information and care in the emergency phase, individual counselling, group counselling and memorial services. In the event of death, there are special routines for good care of affected students and classes where we collaborate with study guidance, programme directors, the student union and teachers. A memorial service is always offered in connection with death.
If you are aware of a student's death, please contact the Student Health via contact form.
Most people experience grief at some point in connection with the death of a loved one. For many, the support from friends, family and other important people in everyday life is enough to be able to process the grief and move on, and for some there is a need to also talk to someone outside the immediate circle. You do not have to be alone with your thoughts and feelings. Contact the Student health if you want someone to talk to.
The University Chaplaincy
The University Chaplaincy is available on campus Valla, campus Norrköping and the University Hospital campus. Crisis calls are offered individually or in groups. If you need to meet others in a similar situation and talk, the University Chaplaincy offers mourning groups.
